The Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring their 7th annual Health and Wellness Fest on April 22nd at the Earl L. Vandermeulen High School, located at 350 Old Post Road in Port Jefferson, from 9:00 am-1:00 pm. Free and open to the public.
The purpose of the Fest is to promote good health to all in the greater Port Jefferson area. Receive important information you require to plan and meet your health and wellness needs. Over 60 health and wellness professionals will be participating including our three major local hospitals and sponsors, St. Charles, John T. Mather, and Stony Brook Medicine.
Our NEW tag line this year is ‘Eat Well, Live Well’ emphasizing we are what we eat!
Therefore many of our vendors will be highlighting healthy eating. Including St. Charles Hospital’s Executive Chef and staff providing FREE make your own healthy breakfast, lunch & dessert, ‘Come Dine with St. Charles Hospital’.
Creating a more ‘festive’ atmosphere there will be more entertainment celebrating health & wellness and more animal related vendors, therapy dogs, companion animals, and SCPD Canines. There are FREE health screenings, with many children’s activities, and plenty of parking.
Again, this year we are in cooperation with the Port Jefferson Royal Educational Foundation, there will be 2K ‘Fun-Run’ finishing at the Fest. All runners and participants will be invited to join in the Port Jefferson Health & Wellness Fest.
