Yes, that’s right!! The Long Island Ducks baseball team mascot, Quacker Jack, will be at the Port Jefferson Health & Wellness Expo!! Meet and greet is from 1:00 – 2:00pm
This year we are doing a ‘Vendor Game Card’, which you can be eligible to win the grand prize – the ‘Healthy Family Entertainment’, worth of up to $350.00 of prizes. The rule of the game is that you must visit 10 exhibitors – 2 exhibitors in each section, A, B, C, and D (please look at the floor map). And, the exhibitor must authenticate the card by initializing it. Once you have your game card filled out, bring it to the front check-in table in the gym’s lobby. The drawing will take place at the end of the expo. (You don’t need to be present, but please make sure we have your contact information).

The Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce’s Expo Committee is keenly aware of the health concerns that affect today’s children. The Committee thought it would be important to somehow include the students of the Port Jefferson School District in the event, and when they proposed a “How Do You Live a Healthy Life?” contest, the School agreed.
The elementary school students were assigned to design a poster, and the middle and high school health classes were assigned to write an essay to describe how they choose to live a healthy life. One first place winner from each grade will be announced at the Expo. Each will presented with a gift card donated by Bethpage Federal Credit Union and the Chamber.
Second and third place awards will also be given. All winning students will be presented with a Gift Subscription to The Port Times Record, and an award certificate.
All winning poster and essay entries will be on display in the lobby of the high school on the day of the Expo.
Don’t forget the 2 mile Fun Run provided by the Royal Education Foundation, starting at 8:30am – Port Jefferson Village Center and will finish at the Port Jeff Health & Wellness Expo, Earl L. Vandermeulen High School.
